PM Olmert to German official: "First of all, the Palestinians must take action themselves." 

 PM Olmert Meets Minister-President of German State of Hessen

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert this morning (Thursday), 21.6.07, met with the Minister-President of the German State of Hessen, Roland Koch. The two men discussed Germany's federal structure and relations between the various states and the European Union. Prime Minister Olmert commended German Chancellor Angela Merkel's work as the current EU President.

The two men also discussed Palestinian developments. Prime Minister Olmert said: "First of all, the Palestinians must take action themselves, of course with outside assistance. They must take responsibility and demonstrate that they can effectively maintain control."
